1.Substrate difference

When the masonry structure is bonded with carbon fiber cloth, the base material is made up of two materials, brick and mortar, because masonry building is built by single brick and mortar, and the saturation of mortar can not be effectively controlled, and its integrity and quality are poor.

When the concrete structure is bonded with carbon fiber cloth, the base material is concrete, and the concrete is the engineering composite material cemented by cementitious material to aggregate. The concrete can be regarded as homogeneous and continuous material, and has good integrity.

2.Material surface difference

Masonry structure is composed of a large number of bricks and mortar piled up, the structure of the existence of a large number of mortar, mortar mortar between the full degree of inconsistency, and different block strength are not the same, no unified evaluation of its surface strength, can only be used to determine the surface strength of brick and mortar. In general, the surface strength of the masonry structure is not as good as the surface strength of the concrete structure.

3.Construction methods difference

When the masonry structure reinforced with carbon fiber, the surface defects of the masonry structure needs to be repaired, and then on the wall and column surface must first do a layer of cement mortar screeding layer, the layer thickness should not be less than 15mm and flat, the strength of cement mortar shall not be less than M10, the smooth curved layer after curing, in accordance with the method paste carbon fiber to concrete structure construction.
